These endorsed candidates all agree on the need to get our taxes in order, and have a variety of approaches, but Bill's first order of business will be: 1) To decrease city residential taxes by 3% annually until our taxes are in line with our neighbours, and 2) To make our industrial/commercial tax rates competitive with those of Whitby, Ajax and Pickering, to insure that spinoff industries from UOIT locate in Oshawa to provide jobs here and contribute to Oshawa's tax assessment base to bring tax relief to city residents.
